Louder than which Flowmaster? 3-chamber, 2-chamber, 1-chamber?

Re: Exhaust Question

I have 2 ch flows with an x-pipe my friend made at his muffler shop that used to be on his wifes mach 1, I have been thinking of getting the Mac Pro chamber and keeping my flows. I really like how it sounds now, but I hear the pro chamber will make a difference so I may try it!

Re: Exhaust Question

Try here: http://www.pypesexhaust.com/
Saw them at WFC 8 and I was impressed with the quality. AND THE PRICE was great. They had a catted X-pipe for $179 show price!

edit: The cat x-pipe is $348 on their site?!

The loudness of the exhaust is not really dealing with the muffler itself. Sure some kits are going to be slightly louder than others (ex., 2 chamber vs 3 chamber vs Stinger) but nothing will effect the volume like a midpipe. You should hear STOCK mufflers with an o/r H. They sound unbelievable; especially the 03/4s with the stainless system. Getting and Pro-Chamber (which is the best imo) or an o/r H/X pipe is going to be day and night worth of difference when you want loudness compared to the factory H.

If you want deep and loud the Flowpaths and Pro-Chamber are the best in that. Flowmasters with the PC sound similar but it's not as deep. I can set off car alarms without trying and usually at idle.

Check out mustangexhaust.com and listen to their files. They've got a lot of different setups with both X and H pipes.

Re: Exhaust Question

Mine's fairly loud, I only hear it inside the car, but others have said its loud.
I like the sound and feel its sort of different.

Spintech Catted X and Pro-Street mufflers.

I can email you a sound/video file if you want.

Welcome to the site.
