intake coating?

I just finished porting my 01 cobra intake. My question is after I get it cleaned up, do I need to coat it with anything?

Some people have them coated with a high temp expoxy to smooth everything out, but most people leave them bare

Thanks. Do they make a spray on epoxy that you can do at home and if so whats the best?
