trans help
I drove the car last night with no problems. I drove it around the block today and it felt a little sluggish so i go to pull it in my buddys shop and i cut it off outside of his shop. When I crunk it up and put it in gear it would not pull at all. It will not take reverse or any forward gear. It has a new PTC 2800 stall converter and it is a stock 4r70w? I really need some help I'm trying to get it back on the road by next week for Mustang week. Any help is greatly appreciated!

sounds like u lost fluid pressure maybe a front pump

or filter and or fluid is bad. maybe linkage?

It has new fluid and the filter is less than a year old. The linkage is good and tight, and it shifts. I can put it gear with the ignition off and it rolls freely in forward and reverse?

it really didnt seem like it was slipping but i got that new converter in there and and it revved a little higher to move the car. i thoght that just might be the looser converter

did u lock the converter all the way in? sounds like u didn't and it broke the front pump

yeah it was all the way on. slipped it on- rotated it and finished sliding on and bottomed out
