Lug replacement without removing the axle?

The tire shop goons galled one of the rear lugs on Jennifer's car. I didn't notice it until I went to put the lug nut back on and it siezed. I was so pissed off, I twisted the lug completely in two trying to get the lug nut off.

Can I replace this lug without pulling the axle? I don't think there is enough room on my car, but I hope her's is different!

Ok. So, is there a "port" that will allow enough depth to remove the lug because I remember the axle plate being in the way on mine.

I believe there is. I know I replaced several on my 93 without pulling an axle. You do have to remove the brake caliper and rotor though
