Check these guys, they are usuallt pretty cheap.

You can also check with Butch at DRE. They are mainly a supplier for Formula V stuff, but he is a good friend, tell him I sent you if you call him.

Craig, how do helmet sizes go? I need to go ahead and get one before FFW.

MIne is a 7 5/8", I am not sure of the sizes how they go up. Perhaps by 1/8"? The Racer Wholesale site might have a sizing chart.

Lee, I've found it varys between manufacturer. Find one you like then check the manufacturer's website for a sizing chart.

You going for full face or open?

Re: HJC Helmets

Craig has a valid point with W2W racing....however if you only plan to go to local small events then a cycle helmet works fine provided it is the correct rating(which new helmets would be). Now if you plan to run at Road Atlanta then you will need a proper spec'd helmet...but for autocross and places like talladega you don't.

I did a group purchase for helmets (Bell and other brand names) for the SVO Club a while back and could do it again if anyone is interested. I was getting new Bell Helmets at the time for under $100. I could check and see what the current offering is if there is interest.

Yes, they do vary a good bit in the sizes between manufacturers. The only way to know one will fit like it should is to try it on and see. I dont know if they make car helmets but there is a company named Vega that makes some pretty nice bike helmets at a good price.

Paul, according to when it is, I will be interested in at least one helmet, possibly two. Let me know if you get enough people together to make it worth your time.
