Built 351W Average HP/TQ

On your average 351W motor with H-C-I and a little tuning, whats the HP and TQ like?

Is 425/425 possible without drivability suffering to much?

I think that's a little high; I would guess more around the 350-375 range. But that's just a guess since I'm not experienced or familiar with 351 combos... yet.

Re: Built 351W Average HP/TQ

I am not to sure, depends on how good of drivability are you going after, what compression ratio are you willing to live with, carb/inj. stroker or not?

I would say that a decent 10:1 cr, with a nice roller cam say around .550 lift and around 230 duration @.050 and say RPM heads with a standard stroke and a 0.030 bore running a good tuned inj set up that you should be able to see 375.

If you start getting into say a 393 to a 408, and a little more CR then you could start looking into the mid 400's no problem.

Don't forget that running a lite wieght rotating assembly will help out a good bit as well.

Yeah, but i also seem to remember you not wanting to come off any money to mod your Cobra... why should I think you'd spend $3000+ on a 351 H/C/I motor.
