Battery ?
the battery is shot in the car, i cant even get it to charge. so i will be replacing it so i can at least start the car on a regualar basis.
what is the best battery? i have been looking at the optima. is it really worth the extra money, i know they look good. second ?, cant you use a marine battery? i thought you could but have heard a few people say otherwise. thanks

FWIW: I have an advanced autoparts battery (their best one) in my dad's Dodge...it had been in Reeds Buick since '01 or '02. Gave it to me last summer. It would NOT turn the car over one night in November when it was cold...so I let it sit (in driveway for 3-months). Tried again 3-days ago (never charged it or anything)..and it cranked over fine. Still showed full charge everything
 . The advance batteries are good.
