what else is there but time , besides this type of swap makes you use your gray matter and the more we use it the stonger it gets ,
I do enjoy a challange goal is to complete the project in 3 years.

Neither is going to be a plug-and-play type affair, and I really don't see why the 4.6 would be much more difficult.

FWIW, I'd probably still do a 331 with a nice H/C/I setup, though. Parts are just so much easier to find and affordable for pushrod motors.

You'll be able to follow the 4.6L swap information for a fox body and come out real close. Both vehicles used the same type of charging system and mechanical speed/tach guages.

I agree it would be cooler with a 4.6 but a 5.0 is cheaper and easier/cheaper to mod

but I have to admit I loved driving my friends 2001 GT to the beach and back

completed welding in the new front suspenion for rod and custom , power rack coil over shocks , set the engine and trans only to realize the trans tunnel had to be modified , did that and once the whole thing was set in and the angle set welded in the motor mounts and i did not realize justhow much taller the mod motors are compaired to the 5.0 motors.
now i have to tack it back apart and finish body work .

not much room for master cylinder and brack booster , does any one know what brake system (master cyilinder setup) might work better?

all mod motor cars use a hydraboost system for that very reason
