torque converters, what do you suggest?
what kind of converter, and what stall speed do you suggest for a street/strip application on a 400rwhp car thats hooking up hard at the track and being beat on pretty good.
also would you suggest 3:73's with the combo or 4:10's (car is supercharged) |

Mine is s/c with a stroker and a c4. Got it from Art Carr haven't got to play with it much but foot brake it stalls a @2800 and on the trans brake @3300. Also running 3.73

Remind us the combo again...and specifically, what transmission?
I have talked to the PTC guys and seen their converters' internals. Pretty nice and they're priced right. Plus, they're in Florence/Mussel Shoals, Alabama. For a little more money, I'd go with ATI. For the best you can buy, go Neal Chance.

ok, since im pretty much just in the planning stage of this build (its gonna happen next year) and im just trying to pull everything together and know what i want to use so it hopefully goes smoothly. so heres all of the planned mods
MODS -Procharger P-1SC w/ 3 core intercooler -Custom dyno tune from my local shop -Valve body for 4R70W automatic transmission -B&M ratchet shifter -Subframe connectors -Upper/Lower control arms (suggestion in brand?) -90/10 front struts 50/50 rear -Built rearend with 3:73, maybe 4:10 and 31 spline moser axles -Launching on draglites and Slicks -current mods already done to the car are o/r x pipe and flowmaster catback |
