Will deleting my smog pump give me a bit better gas mileage?

Right now,mine is pure shit...............

I did not gain any by deleting mine when I had my 89. Only gain would be from reducing parasitic losses, negligible.

Richard there has to be something wrong with the tune on the car. Before I started modding mine I drove it to Orange Beach and got 27mpg that equaled over 330 mile on a tank of gas. Even now I will get around 260 miles on a tank of highway driving and around 220 of city driving. And I have an untuned 30# injector setup.

Richard, have you had the tranny rebuilt yet? The car got good gas mileage when I had it. Its either the tranny robbing excess power or its that P.O.S. C&L meter.

Didnt know it had a C&L meter on it. You need to make sure that you have the right sample tube in there for your year car. Yes they are different sample tube for 87-93 and 94-95 cars.

yeah it has the sn95 (5.0) 76mm tru-flow kit on it

tranny has not been done as of yet.Hopefully before FFW.

New plugs cap and button and oil change.

I thought because the smog pump was going bad,might be the cause of gas mileage going South.

Gonna get a new CAI within the nest week or so and maybe that will help.
