Font suspension/steering wear items

What items would you guys recommend replacing to correct my front end. I have a bad problem with the drivers side not being able to align properly causing it to chew up tires. I know the car has been wrecked at some point before me. Paul had it checked and his alignment guy said it was a bent strut or spindle. I have replaced the strut since i have owned the car so my guess at that point would be spindle.

Also the car makes a poping or creaking noise when you turn the wheel from side to side when going slow or sitting still.

I want to replace the tie-rod ends since they just have so many miles, and i think may have something to do with the noise i've been hearing. Also Doug904 checked with astro and his friend can get me a spindle fairly cheap for that side.

On steeda's site I found these which I thought may not be a bad thing to do since mine apperently have been hit before and just to rule those out as a problem. Plus the new bushings/ball joints surely would be better than what is on my car now. http://www.steeda.com/store/-catalog/161-M-3075-D.htm

Sounds like a plan. You may want to look into Steedas bumpsteer kit instead of getting replacement tie rod ends.

I've looked at that and discussed it with Paul before. We both questioned how well a non-greasable bearing is going to last on a daily driven car.

Re: Font suspension/steering wear items

The F-LCA's aren't a bad idea. I think my lower balljoints are coming up for replacement. On the bumpsteer kit, I really wouldn't do that unless you've got a good drop in the front. Its been so long since I've seen your car (or you for that matter) I cannot remember how much drop you have in the front.

On Edit: The swaybar endlinks and "holder" bushings probably need to be replaced. I'd also look at your rack mounts too.

Get this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33589

and these
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33589

And a decent price on some spindles
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33589

And get those 03 Cobra A-arms/ball joints (but check Randy's price before buying from Steeda)

Also, might want to replace the steering shaft if you can find s good deal. The flaming river one that MM sells is nice, but not cheap...

Dont get a bump steer kit. OEM tie rods are fine for you.

After all that, if you can get it within spec, your frame is fuct

Re: Font suspension/steering wear items

I do have poly urethane bushings on my sway bar endlinks, along with FRPP alum offset rack bushings.

Nathan the car has a good drop on it with the "C" springs.

Re: Font suspension/steering wear items

definitely do something about the ball joints while you are getting work done. They dont last forever and a broken one will lead to anything front your front end slamming the ground to a world of crap if it happens when you are driving.

You make it way to easy for me. I need a little giggle every once in a while. You spelled suspension right but I assume the "Font" actually meant Front.
