Will gears from '97 GT work on my '02 GT?

I sold the sub and box I had for sale, so now it's time for gears...There is a local guy who has some for a '97 GT from FRPP and he never used them, and I can get them around $100..If they will work then I will get them, if not, I'll call Gene Evans Ford Monday and order some.
