Re: Clutch recommendation??

I've never heard of MMR before. What is the big advantage to their stuff over SPEC or Centerforce?

Centerforce clutches are VERY popular on SVTP.com, and many guys over there are putting down 550+ hp on the Dual Friction. Most of them have also converted to a 26 spline input shaft.

Re: Clutch recommendation??

Chip's car has the MMR 700 horse clutch in it. Very light pedal feel like the centerforce d/f.

Re: Clutch recommendation??

I don't want to hijack the thread but I have a clutch question too.

I have a "King Cobra" clutch in the garage, will this clutch work with my set up??

Re: Clutch recommendation??

yes Whit it will.

It thought you had already installed that in your car though. Based off my experience, the king cobra is good to around 450 rwtq. Above that it will start slightly slipping during shifting very slightly after a few thousand miles

I am still using the factory clutch--which brings me to another question, when should I replace my clutch, now or when it starts slipping??? (I have 25,500 miles on mine, about 2500 miles with the SC)

Re: Clutch recommendation??

I don't see any reason to replace it until it starts slipping. It's not like you're racing the car a lot or launching hard on slicks.

When you start having problems with it.
