one more question sine im new to fords

what plug and gap is needed.

im running msd btm and msd dizzy.

can someone explain the btm for me. i get the concept of when its on setting 1 it pulls 1 degree per lb of boost and 2 at 2 and so on. question is how will i know which setting i need to put it at. going to try for 12lb of boost.

is it like nos so many degrees per 50 shot or something like that?

The object of btm is to pull total timing like you mentioned above. The helpful hint is knowing how much timing your EEC has at WOT. I am sure that the sn95 EECs have around the same timing parameters as a foxbody. So, with your base timing set at 10 degrees with the spout out, your EEC is going to allow a max of 27 degrees at WOT. So have your btm set to where your max timing at WOT and 12 psi is around 17 degrees if the new motor has flat top pistons. If the new motor has dished pistons, you can allow more timing at full boost.

I couldn't run mine over .035 without spark blow out.

hmm dished pistons. Any idea what cc your heads are? You can probably run 20-21 degrees total timing to start with

Set timing at 10 degrees base and set BTM on 1.

My car runs perfect just like that and made very good power

1 = 1* of timing retard per 1# of boost
2 = 2* of timing retard per 1# of boost
and so on.
