Re: fuel rails on PI engine swap
Use everything off the 97 (intake and fuel rails). 97 had a return style fuel system where the 02 was returnless.

Re: fuel rails on PI engine swap
Thanks mach1, just another concern, the 02 rail on the driver side has electronics of some sort pluged into the fuel rail. do you know what this is for? thanks a lot!!

Re: fuel rails on PI engine swap
I beleive that is to moniter the fuel preasure on the returnless fuel systems. They have some kind of fancy name for it I beleive. You won't have to worry about it since you'll be using everything off the 97 mod your pulling.

Re: fuel rails on PI engine swap
I agree with 04 Mach 1, just use all the fuel system components off the 97.

Re: fuel rails on PI engine swap
I would stick with the return style fuel system on the 97

Re: fuel rails on PI engine swap
you will have a ton of problems if you try to use the 02 rails. i used the 97 on my swap and it was fine.
