Free 2005-2007 GT Clutch...
If anyone is interested, I need something tested locally and I don't have anyone particularly in mind.
We have been making a clutch for the 2005 and up stangs for some time now, but to get the best shifting and performance, we have been recommending the 10.5" pressure plate since it responds better with the "lackluster" hydraulic actuation system the new mustangs have. But to run the 10.5" unit, purchasing one of our billet flywheels is necessary. Using an 11" is required when re-using and resurfacing the stock flywheel, so we have recently designed a new 11" unit that bolts in and has a little quicker release than the current 11" unit we have been selling (which works, but is not optimal in racing conditions). Shifting should be smoother than stock or any other aftermarket setup, but we need it to be tested. If anyone's looking to get one of these in their '05 or newer mustang GT, let me know. I need it to be somewhat local to the Birmingham area, so I can personally feel it. If everything's fine, it's yours. If it's got issues, we will get the unit out and modify as needed, at which point we'll try again, until it's kosher. This offer would be best left to the person who can do their own work and wouldn't mind possibly doing a couple clutch swaps until its right. I suspect it will be fine on the first try because it measures out good. But you never know...the newer mustang hydraulics can be a PITA. PM me or email me matt @ specclutch.com if you're interested.

I don't know anybody with a stickshift one. I think Doug's (BAMAchips) Roush has an auto.

if you were single, and into that sort of thing, you could use this to your advantage.
Is the Hertz rental GT a stickshift?
