And the new dyno numbers are...

...not good.

I lost about 60-70 ft. lbs. through the low end of the power band. It's pretty rich, and I think Ed pulled too much timing after I told him before I was having cold-weather detonation issues (which I've attributed to my old air intake - haven't had that problem since installing the JLT). After 5500 RPMs it did improve over my old numbers, though, to the tune of about 30 more peak horsepower. Final numbers - 489 rwhp, 450 rwtq. I'm about to email Ed the files from Walker's, and we'll see what it does with a new tune very soon...

Here's the graph...

EDIT: Blue graph is the new one, the red one is old.

Remember, it lost a little of those numbers with the steel flywheel. But sounds to me like it's really on it's way up. Is that the Steg blower?

Yeah that's with the Steg blower.

I talked to Blake about the different flywheel, and he said he typically doesn't show more than 5-10 hp/tq difference going from steel to aluminum, so there's no reason it should have made more than that much of a difference going the opposite way.

I've already sent the graph to Ed...let's see what he can do about that.

Time for a lower, a 2lb would get your tq numbers back up but won't gain much hp. Should take it to the track and see what differences it made there?
