Have you checked the oil level on the dipstick?

What weight oil did you put back in?

I know of an oil pump that went out on an 01 gt. Ford went in half on the engine replacement. 38K on the miles.

Does it rattle all the time or just when you crank it up?

when i first crank it its fine but as soon as i hit the gas it rattles the higher the rpm the louder the rattle .....took it back to sunny king they checked it out and said it was a lifter ..I still dont have the right tools to do the work (all my tools went up in barn fire) If I have to replace the motor I really dont want to but if I have to Id rather go 4V

no you don't have to replace the motor. Replacing the lifter should be a relatively cheap fix depending on which side it is on

It shouldn't matter which side on a 2V motor.
