transmission ????

I bought a tranny from a local shop. He told me that it was what was in my car. So i drop my car off and call about it the next day and he says he can not get the speedo to work. So what could i say! i go and pick my car up and the tranny that came out of my car looks bigger to me. I did not get to see them side by side. He also told me when i picked it up that he could not use the shifter that was in my car and he had to use the one with the other tranny. My ? is did he put a t-45 in my car? i bought a spec stage 1 clutch to go in it. and i have some bad shaking when taking off in 1st or backing up. do i need to just keep on with the break in or is the in put shaft on the t-45 the same as the 3650 or what? should i stop driving it or what? thx

He might have put a t-45 in there. I know if will bolt up but the t-45 is mechanical speedo where your old 3650 was electronic speedo. Thats probably why your speedo isn't working. I believe you can fix that with a speedcal but thats not the tranny that came in your car. The shaking is probably clutch chatter from the new clutch breaking in.

Btw the input shafts are the same but I wouldn't want the T-45 since thats not what came in the car.

yea it sucks that it is not the same tranny but i can send my 3650 some where and have it rebuilt.Where can i get that part to fix the speedo for now? thx

I'm not 100% sure if it will fix it. It worked for my 96 when I put a t56 in it. Dallas mustang carries them. I believe there is a place in flordia thats called promotion that does good work. They are expensive though I believe

i dont want to spend anymore on this tranny.lol so no speedo for now
