ABS light

Does anyone know if a difference in tire size can make the ABS light come on? I put new wheels and tire on my cobra this weekend. Well i put 275's on the back and 245's on the front. As soon as i drove off in the car the abs light came on. Anyone seen this? Anyway to override it?

I'm pretty sure the different tires sizes can cause that. The rear tires are turning at a different speed than the front tires, and that causes the ABS to freak out.

ya 245's on the front. I never thought twice about it cuz i've done that on every other car i've had. Guess I've never had ABS though. Anyway to override or anything?

It usually comes from having a taller rear tire. I know my abs light usually comes on with my slicks on. Not sure how to overide it though.

what was your stock tire size and what 275 did you put on? If stock was a 245/45/17 then a you should have installed a 275/40/17 in its place for the rear.

275/40's and 245/45's have the same overall diameter

That is WAY too much sidewall for a Mustang!

EDIT: Does anyone have those old pictures of 99blownsix's car from the Mafia forum? I remember he posted some pictures with some huge rear tires like that.
