T5 whine
Well got the old t5 back in today. Shifts perfect. ,but I had to repalce 2nd gear with one from another trans thanks by the way Brian now when in 2nd gear I'm getting a whine. Is this to be expected???

No it shoudl not be whining.
If you did not replace the cluster with 2nd gear, then you probably have a difference in wear pattern |

Thats what I thought (different wear pattern) Wouldn't that cause the whine?

I didn't blow out any of the gears, it just didn't like to go in 2nd and when it did it would spit it out. Once inside I found that the alignment teeth on the gear were rounded off pretty good, thats why I just needed 2nd gear.
