motor setup

i was going to go with a 2 valve motor. and after reading alot i thought maybe a 4 valve would be best. then today i find that they are swapping in the 3 valves into the sn95s.i know the 3 valves run strong stock! and they do make cams and stuff for them. all the 4.6 short blocks are the same. so why not a 3 valve? anyone have any down sides to this swap?

the three valve should be a pretty easy swap. I considered it when I went to my 4v. I have seen complete 3 valves for around 1800-2200 on ebay low mileage engines. the wiring harness and products mentioned on the link is were you would start running into a more expensive swap imo.

you may be able to? I thought it would be a liitle different though, but I guess you could just splice what you needed too. I had to change the connectors for the injectors and the cop's everything else was pretty much the same, but that was a 4v

I have seen a few swaps. I believe the worst part was doing away with the fly by wire setup for the throttle. But 4v's are better than 3 right?

from what people say is the 3 valves have more tq down low and flow about the same as 4 valves up top. i do like the way the intake comes out the front to.
