torque spec for a spec clutch?

This is an aluminum flywheel. What is the spec for the torque?

I am sure that Coupe will chime in tomorrow, but I am pretty sure it is no different then the torque on a steel one

In our discussion on "steel vs aluminum flywheels", no one ever brought up a difference in torque capacity. I can't imagine why there would be a noticeable difference.

I'd be sure to use loc-tite on the bolts to keep them tight, and from galling the threads.

to the above. Same spec as the stocker. That's a pretty nice grade of aluminum. (6061- T6)

I looked it up in one of my OLD Chiltons books, and the only thing I could find was 15-19 Ft lbs for the Merkur 2.3 turbo, which sounds about right. 63 Ft lbs sounds a little high to me!

Are you looking for flywheel torque or pressure plate torque

Found the flywheel to crank: 56-64 ftlbs.
Pressure Plate is probably same as 5.0L: 24 ftlbs.

Sorry I don't just have these handy. We don't give installation torques because that introduces liability for something beyond the product. Know what I mean?
