Clay Bar + Wax = Teh Shine
Spent all day sunday cleaning the ride. Washed and then went over the car with MeGuiars paint cleaner/wax prep then went over it with claybar and Griot's speed shine <- greatest thing ever to happen to car cleaning. And then used Griot's best of show wax and to make sure I didn't leave any wax behind, I went back over it with a cotton rag and speed shine. Man the paint is like mirror silk.
Last night we were coming out of publix and it looked like every light in the parking lot was reflecting off the paint. It was all lit up with the light reflections in the paint like a diamond in a jewelry store. I've NEVER seen my car shine like it did. Meguiars 3 step wax can't touch it and it didn't shine like this with the NTX wax either. So from here on, Griot's best of show is my wax. I'll wax Whitney's car with the NTX and let my dad have what's left. All the pics were taken this morning before work so there's no direct sunlight shots. I might get some this afternoon and post those tonight. I also didn't get a chance to use teh fine hand polish. I wouldn't have gotten finished in time for dinner out but it normally would be used right before wax after claybar. and the spray on wax is to be used before you dry your car just after washing it between wax jobs. So I'll get to test that out next wash. And now....
