any ran 99 up 4r70w guts in a aod-e
if so how did it work out for you

that's got the different gear ratio doesn't it? tighter or something?

Not an authority by any means...but I didn't think they were compatible.
I know you can put the AOD-E stuff into an AOD and it's stronger.

Ok, I knew that there were some parts you could put in a AOD or AOD-E that were from some other trans that were "beefed" up

I talked to a transmission guy at one of the bigger ford dealerships around Atlanta.
He saids the parts interchange to an extent. He told me to get a transmission out of an 99+ f150 cause they have hardened gear sets and the clutches were better quality over the aod-e
