Didn't it use to be 11.00 to 10.00 had the 8 point?

You need a minimum of a 6 point bar to go 10.00...this is if you still have a stock firewall and stock floorpans.I went ahead and did my 10 point just in case...but mine has actually turned out to be a 12 point

It used to be 11.99 for a 6-point bar, but was changed to 11.49 in 2005. The next cut-off is 9.99 for a 10-point cage. There's no rule for an 8-point as far as I know.
