Help with build
OK guys I need some help picking out some upper end parts. I want a turbo but I would like to start with a strong motor. trying to stay with used parts I can afford but other than that I have no idea what to look for. I will be converting to a MAF this summer as well so my cam options will be a little more open.
EDIT: Or should I just find someone who can do a little work on my E7's, throw on some 1.6's and call it a day? The reason for tearing it down is to replace the head gaskets and install head studs.

Here's a good "Budget plan"...
Cobra Upper & Lower. Some aluminum heads, if you can swing the money this direction, I feel it will benefit you more than anywhere else. Stock cam will be fine for your turbo setup. But a new timing set is a good idea, and the cam is easy to swap at that point. I'd use either of these: Cam 1 Cam 2
