Yeah, and Mustang 2V motors. We've heard of a lot of them blowing plugs, but never a 4V motor.

Yeah I think 99-00 maybe 2v's had problems with plugs blowing out but it's never been a problem with the 4v's.

According to KB it went from 99-02 and a few very early 03's. I know he researched it about a month after he bought his 03L

I believe 96GTS's Navi motor he just bought has one of his heads repaired. Suspect a blown plug.

Re: Would you rebuild this block...?

I've seen 99-01 GT's throw the plugs. My 00 did it, few 99's on stangnet did it. San~man from stangnet, his 01 did it twice.

I've never heard of a 4v doing it, but its not out of the realm of possibility.

Didn't Mike (GoldnGT) have a plug blow out on his '00 earlier this year?

Re: Would you rebuild this block...?

What did the plug threads look like?

Perhaps the plug was crossthreaded, therfore held no or little clamp load and came loose?

I agree with Edgar that the block should be rapairable, you could always sleeve that cylinder as well.

I would like to get a 4V head one of these days (a free one) to clean up and use as a decoration in the house, if he gets a replacment and is going to ditch it, let me know, I'll take it.
