BBK FPR question
Ok, I think my fuel pressure regulator is toast, but I can't find a rebuild kit for it even on BBK's site. Does anybody make a rebuild kit for them?

Not to my knowledge... Just get a Kirban and call it a day. I'll ask GTR tomorrow if I get a chance.

Brother's Performance is BBK's retail store (same company). I checked and they don't have rebuild kits for the BBK 5.0L regulators.
But... They do have used regulators in stock (My guess is they are rebuilt LOL). Call (800)486-2681 Extension 455 and talk to "Ben." The used regulators show 79.99 on their website, but Ben has them for $41.99 in his system. |

I heard back from GTR & they don't know of a rebuild kit... so I would follow coupe's advice or just get a Kirban.

That's a good deal for an adj. FPR no matter what kind! Thank me later.

Ok, it's not the FPR from what I can tell. She's still running a bit rich, and has a steady backfire through the exhaust at idle on the left bank. It looks like I'll be running a compression test tomorrow after work. I REALLY hope I don't have a broken valve spring.

Could be a burned valve... or EGR issue? (if you still have it hooked up)??
Keep us posted! |
