I think my motor mounts are shot!

Well Ive been driving the stang around this weekend, and Ive noticed more then ever alot of noise from my exhaust hitting things underneath the car, it rattles all the time at start up, and at idle never did this before . Im wondering if anyone has any experience with this situation, and is it common when the mounts go for the engine and exhaust to shift position and sit maybe lower . I think thats causing a clearance problem ?

Pete

P.S. The ones on my car are still the stock one's.

My mounts went out in my 96 cobra and it was doing the same thing you are describing. It seems kind of soon for them to go out in 07 but with the extra torque from the turbo it's not out of the question.

Changed out the Motor mounts, yeup the drivers side was toast. Replaced them with the Steeda one's problem solved.

This.

Super clean car too. I really like the stance and the wheels/tires.

How much trouble was it to change them out? I have an '02 GT that I think has bad mounts.

Mounts aren't bad to do. Getting the grounding wires off is the hardest part on the drivers side
