Prof products (or Edelbrock performer) is no better than a Cobra.
Your easiest way to have a GREAT INTAKE that will clear all that stuff is get a DOWNS box upper from Downs Ford. Around $300 and they have it for the GT40 lower. Perfect intake for what you are doing.

If you know someone local to you that has access to a cnc machine,or who is good with a bridgeport,get them to fab you up a spacer,and then as Marc said,hit up Lowes for some longer bolts.You could even get a temporary one made out of wood as far as that goes.

i orderd spacers from summit. noone around my way had 1" spacers. be here tomorrow.
