the end result of a timming issue on my 4.6

yea i resolved a timming issue the other week, what it was was that the timming chain guide was ate slap up on the end of it, they had to replace both chains, both tenstioners, and all 4 guides. and the price with parts and labor was about 670$. i dont know what the hell happend, its on my 2000 gt mustang and it only had 88k on the clock so its weird and hopfully it wont happen again....

Yeah the chains are expensive, I was going to replace them when I had my old motor rebuilt but just went and replace the guides and tensioners

i think that the tensioner went bad and held too much tention on the guide and the chain ate away on that one part of both of the guides
