5 lug conversion
Just one question I have about doing the swap. I found a great write up on corral i'm going to use and I have a whole 94 v6 for the donor car. From everything i've seen people do them in v8 cars. Will the axles from the parts car still fit in my rear since its a 7.5? Or is there any other differences from a 4 banger to a v8? Mines a 93 lx btw

Re: 5 lug conversion
The axles won't fit. The most common solution is two driver's side axles from a ford ranger with an 8.8 rearend.

Re: 5 lug conversion
Could you just go ahead and use the whole axle housing etc.. from the donor car?
The SN95 car will have a little more track width

Re: 5 lug conversion
I thought the 94-98 rears were the same as 87-93 except for the addition of disc brakes which gives the 1.5" additiional width to the rear

Re: 5 lug conversion
I can't remember if the axles only are longer, or if the housing as well is slightly longer. Perhaps you could measure the two and see.
Also is one in better shape than the other, less milage, etc... It just may be easier to put the SN95 rear axle assembly with the brakes, etc.. into the Fox body, rather than swapping everything over.

Re: 5 lug conversion
I believe the sn95's are the same as my cobra, which is the each axle is 3/4" longer than one with drum brakes.
Oh yeah. doesn't matter if its a 7.5 or a 8.8, the axles are the same. The type of brakes is what makes the difference
