Timing

Went by Lee's to get the timing set on the LX well he had to retard the timing cause the guy I bought the car had it bumped up alittle to high. Well then the car would go dead when you first start the car. Lee told me to change the distributor cap and rotor button. When I went to change the plugs the guy had them gapped at 36 - 42 way off so a guess a pretty good combination of a little made a lot of difference. That got the car alittle better so after I changed the wires it fixed most of the problem as far as the idle went well then. I went to take the car for a test drive well what did I do but run the car low on fuel had to take it back to the house and go get a gas can to go get some gas. Well needless to say after the car ran for a while I guess picking up crap in the tank. I had to flush or run some cleaner through it much better. Thanks dude what a day. Still think I need to get the mass air deal squared away but running pretty good.

Re: Timing

She looks great, very tight, clean coupe. Bummer on the poor maintence, but that seems to be part of the pkg w/ used cars. I've had those problems and more myself w/ my 2 LX's.
