Not being a smartass but have you verified that you have the required amount coolant in the overflow tank?

well i want to sell the car....but i don't know if anyone will buy it with that light on...I may just suck it up and fix it.

Of course, I know how to maintain my car....I am pretty well mechanically inclined, so my car is defiantely well maintained, especially fluid levels

I didn't say i knew everything, I stiil need advice on diagnosing some problems, but i can spin a wrench and fix it myself

welll i believe it is resolved, it is the sensor. I check all the fluid last night, then unplugged the sensor....drove it last night and today, no light whatsoever. So i checked everything again, and it was right on, plugged it back in and the light came back on.

Hmm thats funny, when I did my PI heads/cam/intake swap on my 96 I forgot to plug the coolant level sending switch back up. This caused my check fluid level light to stay on. I plugged it back up and the light went off. It's weird that your light stays off with it unplugged. Hmm...
