Power level before needing a BAP

About how much power should an '03 Cobra fuel system support without a BAP?

Re: Power level before needing a BAP

From what I've been told it can vary quite a bit from car to car. At my current power level, the stock system is operating at around 85%. I was told that with my next round of mods, it would be wise to address the fuel issue, for safety's sake.....

I was at 516rwhp with a ported blower/2.76" and was fine. I believe you would need a BAP if you went with a ported eaton upper/lower combo though. What are you planning?

Only way to truly tell is to get a datalog system on your car where you can monitor fuel pump duty cycle.

FWIW. I bet you are close to maxing out the stock injectors now

Travis is running a 6lb lower and a ported blower without changing injectors.

Re: Power level before needing a BAP

Correct me if I'm wrong....

But, in the quest for more power, isnt it the pump and MAF that reach their limits before the injectors become an issue?

That's my understanding, too.

Re: Power level before needing a BAP

Ordinarily no, but since the stock returnless system raises fuel pressure to meet demand, I think it's comparable to an electronic FMU, which would allow smaller injectors to make more hp than usual.
