I've never heard of an A6L computer, did it come out of a Lightning? On the heads, they have different casting numbers, but are all pretty much the same. They can be anywhere from 60-64 cc's on the chambers, but the only way to know, is to get them cc'ed, or do it yourself. I know the Cobra GT40's were milled by the factory. The Lightning heads will definitely have the 1/2" head bolt holes, as do some Cobra and Explorer versions. If they're going on a 302 block, you'll either have to get the head bolt bushing set to work with the 7/16" bolts, OR, go pick up a set of the torque to yield head bolts for a 5.0 Explorer ($15 per head), since they have the integrated washer on the bolt head to compensate for the 1/2" bolt hole.

NO such thing as an A6L mass air EEC catch code in an '89 foxbody as far as I know. I would bet that it is an A9L or equivalent. I have not seen any code to suggest an A6L even existed in 1989....

Here is a partial list of the S/D & Mass air EEC's from '87-'95.

DA1 A9L A9M A9P A9S A9T A3M A3M1 SOZ C3W C3W1 X3Z 8LD T4M0 W4H0 U4P0 J4J1

Hope this helps.

Could be a misprint on the label, or it's an A9L, and you're looking at it upside down.
