battle boxes
will i need to reenforce these if i run dr's on a 8.8 w/ 373s i dont know whether this is a extream drag car mod or just something that needs to get done to keep from breaking anything in a good hooking street car(hopefully!) i also need to know if it is just a weld in deal or is there going to be trimming involved
thanks taylor

just weld up your factory boxes and you will be good.but if you plan on a lot of racing i would suggest some real boxes.

I believe its a worthy upgrade for any mustang running slicks or one thats sees alot of donuts. Do you have a good set of frame connectors?

I don't think they are needed at your current level.
Just make sure that if you upgrade your lower control arms, that you also upgrade your upper control arms with a matched set. Mismatched control arm set-ups will rip apart torque boxes quicker than just a good hooking car will.

they are spot welded from the factory.you can weld them all the way around and add some strength.
the other tips mentioned above are good ones too

Good question. I would highly recommend getting a set before you do any other mods.... especially since yours is a convertible.

the upper control arm mounts are where you want to do your welding.make sure to remove your seats and any carpet and have someone ready with water, etc just in case.when you get under the car and look where they mount you will see what you need to do
