front spring rate

I have seen some cars use 4 cylinder front springs. does anybody know why?is the spring rate close to right for the 5.0 motors weight up front for drag racing or something?thx

Don't know the exact reason on spring weight but they transfer weight alot better than the factory v8 springs. Alot of guys run them regardless of what year the car is.
