Coil Wrie
What would make a coil wire burnout/explode. The end that plugs into the coil, half that boot was blown off?????
Let me know what you think.

Re: Coil Wrie
The boot may have been going bad and allowed the spark to arc to something metal that was close to it.
When was the last time you changed your plug wires and what brand dd you use?

Re: Coil Wrie
If the boot is not the problem, was the crimp still good from the wire to the fitting?

They're Ford Racing 9mm wires and they are only about 4 months old.
