DR or ET Street/Drag

OK.. I am ordering some Welds and need to know what tires I should run. I was thinking of getting some ET Streets so I could drive the 15 minutes from the house to the track. But... A friend is selling some MT DRs. I am getting 15x10 backs and his DRs are 275/50 r15's with 6-8 runs on them. I can get these for a lot cheaper than some new ET Streets of course.. but I can afford the streets...

Lemme know what you guys think....

Thanks!

MT DRs hook like a mofo...save your money and get those. With the right susp, they are better than ET streets IMO. If you get the ET Streets, PM me how much he wants for his tires...

Re: DR or ET Street/Drag

no experience with their d/r's but their E/T streets hook like ass. I hated them. Put around 5 passes on mine and sold them. My old e/t drags did well though.

I have heard a ton of good things about their drag radials though

Thanks guys... I guess I can always try the DRs and buy some e/t drags for the next set.

I hope your car isnt a stick-shift, DR's dont like stickshifts, unless you have a drag only suspension on it. I tried everything to get the MT DR's to hook, so I went back to the ET Streets

Re: DR or ET Street/Drag

It is a manual transmission. My suspension is pretty much drag only... lol. Well, I actually suspect I have bad front struts now.. but that is beside the point.

Re: DR or ET Street/Drag

well my car cuts 1.40s on slicks and ET Streets, and I went to the DR's, and the best I could get was 1.65. good luck
