turning the EGR off (A9L)

Per my phone call with Dale earlier this week

Scalars

EGR Type= 2
EGR Max Idle test= 250
EGR Multiplier = 0
EGR Part throttle Adder= 0

Functions

EGR multiplier vs ACT= set all y axis to 1
EGR multiplier vs ECT= y axis to 1

Tables

EGR altitude base= all to 0
EGR Sealevel base= all to 0
EGR spark adder= all to 0

There is one more item left but I can't find my 2nd piece of paper I wrote it on.
Dale or Clint, can you post up what it is?

Re: turning the EGR off (A9L)

Once you set the EGR type to 2 (off ) you do not need to worry about the other functions and tables as they are not used if the EGR is disabled. I personally leave them alone so that when it is time to smog the car I only change the one parameter. I then disconnect the WB and plug the EGR back in. It is pretty simple.

I use the items above when I want to use the AD channel in the EEC for something
else.

Point taken.I should have stated this when I was talking to Lee F. on the phone. Like Clint stated you can do this if you want to keep the EGR functional, and only want to use the EVP/EGR for datalogging a WB or other
device.

But when reworking the code to use the EVP/EGR AD channel for
something else it is best to take everything into consideration. ASSuming
that the car does not need to be smog tested. This means looking at all
the multipliers, tables etc. It is best to error on the side of caution.

Now back to lurking I go.
